"Ben has been my guitar tutor for approximately 2 years now (with a short break enabling me to practice what I’ve learnt), I have improved steadily over time to the degree where I can now accompany most background music with my own renditions and have also learned several lead guitar solo pieces.
During our lessons I have found Ben to be a fun, likeable person, who I can call my friend. He has shown a lot of patience, understanding, and is an excellent, knowledgeable, musician. At first, I didn’t understand any music theory, and wasn’t too interested in learning it either, but Ben introduced it slowly and in a way that wasn’t boring, and that met my needs, thus helping me to play my guitar much better than I expected. Being in his own brilliant group ‘Veneer’ and having an internet presence on the very helpful music site ‘Patreon’ also keeps Ben up to date within the music scene, and makes him more interesting as a person and tutor overall."

"Ben is an excellent guitar teacher. His lessons are flexible and he is open to teaching songs of your choice. The lessons are individually tailored towards your skill level.
The lessons we’ve had have encompassed a sound base of musical theory and technique.
Both my son and I really look forward to having our lesson each week with Ben. Previously these have included jamming together with bass, rhythm and lead and working towards Rock School graded work.
Beforehand I felt my guitar skills had plateaued. However since getting lessons with Ben I I find that my timing, music theory knowledge, strumming and lead techniques have improved greatly."

"I find the lessons very enjoyable and entertaining. I always learn something new about guitar technique.
I've started as a beginner and I feel I’ve learn a lot in the last few months.
I can play songs which I could of never thought of playing so I would definitely recommend Ben as a guitar teacher as he is very enthusiastic and funny and knowledgeable and I have seen my technique improve with his teachings."
